NIce one! Not much other Super5 stuff in English (apart from GT turbo) Most people who drive the 'shopping' versions here would not notice if it changed to a Fiesta or Corsa! I always drive R5s since the cheap R4 disappeared from our roads but now I notice the early Super5s are going too. Most you see here now are mid '90s 3-door Campus models, either on the last owner before the scrapyard, or being looked after by the elderly! Good luck with the site.... I'll post more pictures as I find them.

speaking about me I had Honda CRX as a "fun" car some years ago, but now every second boy in my town can find and buy one, so after the famous Ali-G in za house, after this anti-tuning and anti-culture masterpiece, I decided to find and make one just like Sasha Cohen drove in that movie. All this cheap "tuning" and "styling" of bmw 316-coupe (with 60 Hp and LPG) just make me sick, and all these loud "sport" exhaust that does not give a shit of performance.... that's ridiculous, just like tuned R5 is :)

so let's make our world a better (and funner) place! :D

Hi!
Im just one more freak that has enough taste to like, own and drive a R S5 Gtx.. My intrests about this cute litlle car are the power that such a little engine can produce, im about to make some modifications, "carburator"(sorry, i dont know how to say in english), exaust, and rims (i have the factory ones)... in terms of outside metal i'll do nothing... just want to make the 1400cc engine kick some ass to a nearby nissan primera and others :D i've bought a complete turbo kit from a gtt, but i've a problem.. the turbine doesnt have a discompressor, making a backrev a huge kiss to a wall. if someone could help me , i'll apreciate it very much. Tanks

The best solution for R5 - S5 is simply to buy Renault 19 original 1,8 DOHC engine with 135 HP of it and put it in - all you have to do is just get it with it's ECU - and that's all - everything fits. Turbo will always be a pain in your **** because of lag, bad control over engine (if it is not with injection) problems with cooling etc.

I would go for better engine, not for turbo... it'e easyer and promisses betetr results

and why everybody says S5 are "performers"? I have 1988 GTE with 1,7 injection and ~100 HP< and before I had Honda CRX 1988 with 1,6 DOHC 135 HP... the weight was just ~80 kg more, but everything else - UNCOMPARABLE!
